ABA Led By Me was built around a simple idea: communication creates options, and having options creates greater autonomy.Our approach focuses on functional communication, meaningful skill development, and individualized support that fits into real life. We work collaboratively with families while respecting each person’s strengths, needs, preferences, and individual way of experiencing the world.Treatment is guided by the science of behavior analysis—but the goals are personal: less frustration, more effective communication, greater independence, and more opportunities to make meaningful choices.MEET THE FOUNDERI’m Alexandra Santa Maria, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a mom raising a neurodivergent child. My perspective has been shaped not only by clinical training and experience, but also by understanding what support looks like in everyday family life.I created ABA Led By Me because I believe effective ABA should be scientifically grounded, compassionate, and centered on the individual. Communication, autonomy, dignity, and meaningful choice are not extras—they are principles that guide how I approach treatment.My goal is not to make children fit a mold. It is to help each child build meaningful skills, communicate more effectively, experience less frustration, and have a greater voice in their own life.I also believe families deserve more than recommendations. They deserve to understand the why behind treatment, feel heard in the process, and have practical strategies they can use in the moments that matter most.
